PHYSICAL COCKPIT

BUILT AROUND THE PILOT

The physical cockpit is where the user interacts with the simulation.

NewVision Digital designs and manufactures the cockpit structure, panels, controls and mechanical assemblies required for the simulator.

The layout is developed around the physical interaction between the pilot and the system, while allowing the cockpit hardware to be integrated with the electronics and software behind it.

XR / MIXED REALITY

KEEP THE COCKPIT CHANGE THE WORLD AROUND IT

The F-16 cockpit can be combined with XR and Mixed Reality visual environments.

This allows the user to retain the physical cockpit and real controls while the external environment is generated virtually.

The result combines physical interaction with the flexibility of an immersive digital environment.

PHYSICAL INPUT DIGITAL RESPONSE

Flight controls are a fundamental part of the simulator experience.

The cockpit can incorporate the required control interfaces and electronic connections needed to transfer physical pilot inputs into the simulation environment.

Mechanical design and electronic integration are developed together so the controls become part of the complete system rather than standalone components.

COCKPIT ELECTRONICS

CONNECTING EVERY INTERACTION

Switches, buttons, panels and controls need a reliable connection between the physical cockpit and the simulation software.

NewVision Digital develops and integrates the electronics and I/O architecture required to connect these physical interfaces to the simulator.

This allows the cockpit hardware and the digital simulation environment to operate as one coordinated system.

The mechanical design, manufacturing, electronics and integration work behind the cockpit are carried out by NewVision Digital’s multidisciplinary team.

Bringing these disciplines together allows changes in one part of the simulator to be considered across the complete system.

It also makes future modifications, maintenance and upgrades easier to manage.
